Chaptor One - The Tiny Kingdom:
Our story begins in the Tiny Kingdom, with Princess Emily riding through the streets, talking to her people. This would sound like a fairly normal tale, if it wasn’t for the fact that Princess Emily is three feet tall and riding a slightly overweight pig named Herbert.
You see, the Tiny Kingdom is called this for a very good reason; its people are very tiny. In fact, Princess Emily is considered fairly tall.
Princess Emily is a very curious princess. She spends most days riding around the kingdom, meeting her people, discovering new things and trying to help those in need. On other days, she leaves the town and explores the surrounding countryside, all the way through the purple fields of the Flower Valleys and across the Deserted Plains.
Once, she even went as far as the Western Sea and she loved the beautiful beaches.
However, the one place the curious Princess would never go - in fact, nobody would ever go - was the Dark Forest. Even Princess Emily wasn’t that brave.
So this day was a fairly normal day, or at least it had started out that way. Princess Emily and Herbert were almost done in the town. They had made friends with four new families, found a lost cat, helped an elderly tiny person to cross the street and discovered a really cool new shoe shop the princess had never been to before.
“Okay, Herbert, time to head home,” said Emily.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge red and green dragon swooped down on the town, roaring loudly and breathing fire.
Now, Herbert is not what you would call a brave pig. In fact, Herbert is quite the opposite of what you would call brave, so he didn’t need telling twice when Princess Emily shouted, “Run!”
Herbert, with Princess Emily on his back, raced up to the gates of the great castle in the middle of the town. The castle is very big and strong; so big and strong that it can even protect against dragons, which, given the events of today, was rather useful.
Once in her bedroom at the top of one of the towers, Princess Emily ran to her window to see what the dragon was doing.
Now I know, had it been you or I, we would have done the sensible thing and hidden under the bed, but you must remember that Princess Emily is a curious princess. Herbert, on the other hand, is not a curious pig at all. He was hiding under the bed panting from the running, shaking nervously due to the large dragon outside.
Although dragon attacks are rare in this world, and even rarer in the Tiny Kingdom, given it’s so tiny, the people still knew what to do. The tiny people of the Tiny Kingdom were all hiding in the castle or in their own cellars.
Dragons, unfortunately, do not give up easily, and this dragon was here to stay.
The Tiny Kingdom was going to need help.
